Her Story

More Than a Memory

Chloe Verni-Lau was only 19 years old, but in her short life, she touched so many people with her kindness, compassion, and caring heart.

An Auburn High School graduate and a lifeguard at a local community pool, Chloe genuinely loved being around and helping children. She was passionate about volleyball and was pursuing a degree in Urban Education, continuing a path that reflected her desire to make a positive difference in the lives of young people.

Those who knew Chloe knew her as selfless, caring, and deeply empathetic. She had a special way of lifting others up, offering comfort, and bringing light into the lives of the people around her.

Her Caring Spirit Continues

A scholarship in Chloe's name through the Rockford Park District is intended to help young people who need assistance pursuing their college education. Through it, Chloe's caring spirit and love for helping others can continue making a difference for years to come.
